PMCA maintains an active presence at all levels of government and is committed to informing and educating government officials and legislators on issues affecting the petroleum marketing and convenience store industries, while protecting the interests of its members. PMCA is actively monitoring and analyzing proposed legislation during the 90-day session of the Kansas Legislature, and year-round. Members are always encouraged to participate, promoting our grassroots approach towards governmental issues.
Members are represented on the federal level as well, by the Petroleum Marketers Association of America (PMAA), a federation of state petroleum marketer associates. PMAA monitors legislative and regulatory activity in Washington, D.C., and maintains a strong lobbying presence for the nation’s petroleum marketers.
